Raphael

A good day to be indoors.  This exhibition of paintings and drawings by Raphael is currently being staged at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow.  “For Russians this is the first and perhaps the only time they will see Raphael’s artworks,” says the museum's curator.  Hence the queues every day since the exhibition opened in September.  Interesting to see that Raphael was born in 1483, a couple of years (literally) before work started on the walls of the Kremlin.
