Newhaven
I'd been to Screwfix to get some heavy duty hinges on Monday but one was as stiff as a stiff thing. I worked away at it, oiling it, but it looked like the hinge pin had been badly crimped in. So back to Screwfix I toodled. I presented the errant part to the supervisor and went to demonstrate its stiffness. Fekksakes, overnight the oil must have properly penetrated into it, for it was as floppy as a floppy thing. Embarrassedly I told her she must have some sort of magic touch and beat a hasty retreat to the car. Much laughter (from others) and embarrassment (for me).
Right, next trick - anyone know a smart way of cutting shoulders into holes in sheet metal to take coach bolts? I could be at this some time...
