Conowingo Dam ....

We set out early this morning on a big adventure .... to see the bald eagles at Conowingo Dam in Maryland.  It's a 2 plus hour drive for us and the best time to be there is early in the morning.  

Well, we didn't make it there all that early as there were a couple of traffic delays.  Next time I think we will have to go down the night before so as to get to the dam much earlier!  And I will have to rent a longer telephoto lens! 

By the time we got to Conowingo the eagles weren't doing much fishing. But that didn't discourage us .... we spent several hours there and saw some action. 

We also walked on one of the trails that is located near the dam ... the Mason Dixon Trail.  We actually saw more eagle action there than at the dam itself!  That's probably were I got this shot ... it's the best of a bad bunch!
