We are waiting....

For Christmas!!  This is the Church's way to prepare for this wonderful festival.  The priest wears purple which is a sign of waiting and preparing!  The priest this morning had all the children up on the altar to watch him light the first candle of the Advent wreath and was explaining so well, quizzing them.  They were all watching his every movement.  He is a young priest and we are about to loose him as he goes to join the Benedictines in about a week.  He will be an asset wherever he goes and very much missed here!  If only I'd had a camera in my hands this morning!!  
This is my advent wreath - the candles should be purple - for waiting - but I couldn't find any!
