Lake District Sunset

Friday, a great walk up Helvellyn, one of our best ever days in the hills. The snow was crispy and deep. We skitted across the frozen tops and sometimes plunged through to deep footfalls as we made our way to the top which we had almost to ourselves. Winter walking is awesome! Then back down as the sun set and turned the mountains pink before a drive to our weekend stop at the Three Shires Inn for a fire and food and whisky!
