Two Days to Summer

The snow on the mountains is keeping the wind cool, even when the sunshine is hot.

I tried to take photos of the poppies. (See extra). They are so lovely at present, but so frustrating with the gusty winds and the ever changing light. The poppies that came up in the autumn have grown huge. Some are a metre high and very bushy. The only time I have seen poppies like these are ones that have come up in the greenhouse. The flowers are large too. However, the wind and rain have sent a lot of them sprawling, which rather spoils their appearance.
