Crowds and Crown

Did some Christmas shopping on and around princess street, with time out for breakfast and lunch of course. The crowds were out in full swing, including on the fairground rides near the Waverley monument. We abruptly ran out of steam in John Lewis so got a taxi home where we spent the rest of the day binging on Netflix. I did buy a new handbag in John Lewis though- arrived at the till expecting to pay the full price but discovered there was a 30% reduction. That sort of thing doesn't happen very often!
