Ightham

There are lots of ancient earth works on Ightham Common and Seal Chart, where we held an orienteering event today. Some of the ditches are very deep, probably old roads. I chose this photo with a person to give the photo some perspective. Its an archaeologist's heaven with earth wall enclosures, huge ditches and the mound of a roman fort.
