In the Swim...

A great privilege, public swimming pools, and Portland has a number of them...open year round. As a child I spent long summer afternoons in a public outdoor pool, and found great pleasure and adventure there. Even now, all these years later, the joy remains. Relinquishing my weight I become buoyant, afloat, breathing...an in and out rhythm, at ease for a time. Escaped...to a water world.
