Big long walk Tuesday - Is it my Blip Birthday???
Just about to publish the blurb below; but I've got a feeling that today is my 6th Blipday? - 2190 photos of a gorgeous little collie! Blip sent us a notification 3 days ago and Ann made a note of it in the diary, which she's only just remembered about cos she never looks in the diary. Sorry for not Blipping something spectacular today. Ann says she'll raise a glass of wine to all you lovely Blippers. Many thanks to the ''Fab Four' for ensuring that this fabulous community continues. And many thanks to everyone who visits our Blip Journal and to all our Blip friends who we've met in real life. 6 years ago?........................ Who would have thought a gorgeous little collie would still be Blipping??? xxx
Beautiful weather today so Ann said, 'Molly, would you like to go on big long walk. I've been looking at the map and I know where there's a secret path and I bet you'll really like it.' Obviously once we've posted this Blip, the secret path will no longer be secret!!
For any of you lovely Blippers who live in Edinburgh, the 'secret path' goes all the way from the entrance to Mortonhall Golf Club, round the back of the houses at Buckstone and eventually ends up at the Mortonhall Estate near the Stable Bar. It's a fabulous walk through lots of woodland. And guess what lives in woodland?........................ Squirrels. Yay! I've had to do a lot of chasing today.
When we got to the Mortonhall Estate we then walked down a track that went alongside the Braid Hills Golf Course, yes there's a lot of golf courses in Edinburgh and then we walked down a steep valley into Hermitage of Braid.
Obviously I had to do lot of splish, splash sploshing in the burn at Hermitage of Braid. There was another collie having a bit of a splish, splash, splosh and I showed him how to put his head under the water. His owners thought I was ever so clever the way I can do that. Ann calls it my hippo impersation?!! Incidentally, there doesn't seem to be a lot of collies in Edinburgh. Everyone seems to own proper pedigree designer dogs and sometimes I feel a bit inferior when I meet other dogs. Quite often little dogs like Jack Russell's & Dachshund dogs will bark at me for absolutely no reason at all. I just ignore them and then their owners get all embarrassed and try to tell Ann that they've had a past bad experience with a collie. Duh?! For such a notable lack of city collies, there's an awful lot of little dogs that have had a bad experience with one?? Just saying!!!
Anyway we then walked the whole length of the Hermitage of Braid and then we walked home so 'big long walk Tuesday' took us more than two hours.
And guess what I had to do when I got home?..................... I had to have 'home alone snooze time' so that Ann could go to IKEA again?!!! Just what does she find to do in that shop??? Obviously drinking free coffee is part of the whole IKEA experience. Lol! When she came home she fed me. And then gave me seconds?! I'm still eating loads. Ann hasn't a clue why. It hasn't even been that cold today????
…..........And that's been our day...................
…................Happy Tuesday Evening Blippers. Xxx
PS – If it's not my BLIP birthday today, then I'm sure it will be tomorrow or the next day or the day after that. The first Blip I posted was on 2nd December 2010 but I think BLIP works out our Blipdays via number of Blips posted, which is probably affected by leap years and other stuff??? I don't really know. #confused.com
