Airthrey Kerse Greenbelt under threat
We joined with local residents this afternoon in a walk over Airthrey Kerse, the Greenbelt between Stirling and Bridge of Allan.
The owners, Graham Dairies, want to build 600 houses on this site which is a flood plain.
Their planning application was rejected by Stirling Council but they appealed, and this afternoon the Reporter led the way over the land, which regularly gets flooded and causes havoc with some houses finding their gardens submerged.
What would 600 more do to the local environment?
In the distance you can see the Wallace monument.
It goes without saying that there is a very active group opposing it, which we fully support.
PS We all had to wear high.vis jackets.
