Edinburgh's Christmas

I don't think Christmas activities or anticipation should start until after St Andrew's Day, which is tomorrow.

But tonight, walking back from an event near the West End, I came through the Edinburgh Christmas Market which is bigger than ever before and which was going at full tilt.

Looking up I rather liked this contrast between the ever present somewhat dark Scott monument and the Christmas only brightly lit (and rather scary) ride.
