Squadron

A splendidly lovely afternoon spent wandering around in sunshine and nature with a dear friend and her delightful son.

There were plenty of woodland/ hedgerow treats on offer but I ignored the nettles, dandelions and sorrel and concentrated only on the blackberries. Some were lovely and sweet, most were tart. A week or so before the real glut starts I reckon. I've got the jars ready!

A splendidly clear night heralded another attempt at star-trail pics until it was rudely curtailed by my camera and tripod falling off the kitchen roof. Terminal damage has been sustained.

Oh well. On balance, I'm still in the good. Cameras and lenses easy to replace - gorgeous days in the sun with great people impossible to replace.
