Blip Of The Week

Hi Blippers!

We know most of you will be busy getting your lives in order for the holiday period, but it's that time of the week again.

One of the many exciting things about Blip is how it gives us glimpses of other cultures and lives. We know that many of you saw and commented on this photograph but we think it's worth a second look.

It begs us to ask lots of questions. How cold is it? How dangerous is it? How poor is that man having to earn his living this way? Maybe it's a pastime of course. Who knows? What's he catching? Is he in the town or the country?

Like any really good photo-journalistic image it invites us to explore a life. When your flicking through Blip it's easy to forget that he was fishing on that river, in that part of the world on that morning.
