Castlegate

Having an errand to carry out in the city today I passed the Christmas Tree in Castlegate. It would look better without the double layer of barriers around it. A pity it has to be protected, though I doubt the barriers would protect those determined to reach it. Apparently it is painted with something to stop people climbing on it.

The memorial to the Gordon Highlanders is bible to the left of the tree, and the Mercat Cross on the right.
