Safe ride to heaven Jim

Attended the funeral of Jim Mercer today with other members of the Royal British Legion Riders Branch including Gary who was standard bearer.
It's a sad affair of course but the motorbike hearse always attracts lots of attention. We, 6 bikes, escorted the cortege behind the limousine carrying the family.
Jim was a biker most of his life and restored and built bikes. A popular bloke who was taken far too early by cancer. He was 1 year and 3 months younger than myself, I consider myself very lucky so far.
