Around the world in...

This is part of the view from one of my balconies and I find myself fascinated by these vivid blue tiles. They are such a lovely colour and really brighten up the building. For some reason this reminds me of Michael Palin's 'Around the World in 80 Days' show that aired in the UK over 20 years ago. On the eve of his adventure, Michel Palin has dinner with his referees and is given a number of item to return with to 'prove' his journey - as though the 5 man 'Passepartout' film crew wasn't evidence enough! Terry Gilliam, a former python, asks him to bring back a red chinese roof tile. Funny how things strike you!

Once the travel bug bites there is no known antidote, and I know that I shall be happily infected until the end of my life.
