In My World

Socialising

It's been a whole month since I last blipped the kookaburras, who visit my garden on a daily basis.

Here they are yet again, proving that a clothesline isn't merely a place to dry your laundry!

Most afternoons, my washing needs to be brought in as early as I can manage, as the clothesline will be turned into the local pub, coffee shop, dance hall, a place for the kookaburras to get together and have a laugh, before turning in for the night.

Since my last kookaburra blip I have actually hand fed one of the kookaburras, and whilst doing so, contemplated whether I have ever heard of a kookaburra attack. I don't believe I have, and I wouldn't want to be the victim of an attack from one of their beaks. They are long, pointed, and incredibly strong.

You should see those kookies "kill" the pieces of bacon rind I feed them! The way they bash their prey about, the bacon rind doesn't stand a chance of surviving!
