spot the swans

I set off in the car to Elterwater and ended up near Grasmere. The reason was a set of temporary traffic lights with an unusually long queue. I waited a  while and nothing came the other way so decided to do a three point turn and head off in a different direction. I’ll never know if the lights were stuck on red but having experienced it before wasn’t taking the chance. 

It was a pleasant walk around Rydal Water (predictive text keeps wanting to change that to Riddle) but light was poor for photos. I disturbed a Heron (wish I'd seen it sooner) and saw Cormorants on a rock in the lake.  Not many people out walking today.
