This  Beautiful Song was written by Amanda McBroom in 1977-1978 and made famous by Bette Midler in  the film, ‘The Rose’ which was produced in 1979.

I grew this rose from a cutting - given to me by my sister.
I listened to this song as my young daughter performed a Slow Tap, a dance she choreographed as a youngster
Earlier this week, the Nelson Male Choir sang this at a Service of Remembrance - so fitting for the occasion. 

It is a song I love for many reasons and one I am pleased to have as my Flower Friday blip using ‘words’ as this week’s twist. Thank you, BikerBear.
