Seedy Day

A blustery grey day here in Northampton. I was a bit frustrated in my search for material as the wind took hold of everything that wasn't pinned down.

I took some long outdoor shots but low light levels and dull skies made them disappointing.

So, here's what I chose. There are three or four clumps of this plant in my garden, planted by birds or wind. They are great value producing lots of flowers so I didn't feel too bad depriving the bees (very fond of it) of one flower. And the seed heads have now gone back outside to take their chances.

The thing is, I'm not sure what this plant is. Is it a type of Astrantia? Your expertise will be much appreciated.
