What big teeth you have!

Two views of a tooth of Megalodon  meaning "big tooth", from the Ancient Greek megas "big, mighty" and odous, "tooth". Megalodon is an extinct species of shark that lived approximately 23 to 2.6 million years ago, during the Cenozoic Era. Its scientific name is Carcharodon megalodon  or according to some Carcharocles megalodon

One of the largest and most powerful predators in vertebrate history fossil remains suggest that this giant shark reached a length of 18 metres (59 ft) It probably looked like a stockier version of the great white shark, Carcharodon carcharias

This photograph will give you some idea of the enormous size of this monster shark.
