I watched Grand Designs for the first time last night. (We are Grand Designs averse, It resonates too closely with G's working day for him to see it as entertainment.) However, the reason why we watched is because Grand Designs are featuring the houses that are in the running for the RIBA's house of the year and one of the contenders is Edinburgh based architect Richard Murphy.
