Lights switch part 2

Tonight Fishguard was the venue for the second part of our Christmas Lights switch on weekend. The town was full of people and the evening began around the Christmas tree. The Goodwick Brass Band was playing and both children and adult choirs were singing. Every shop in the centre of town was open and doing business and our Town Hall was packed. Father and Mother Christmas were extremely popular in their own marque on the Town Hall car park and if you had not booked a table at one of our eating venues then you were going home hungry.
Although this is one weekend in the run up to Christmas the boost to our local economy and the enthusiasm shown by the local population to support our high street is so very welcome.
