Games night

The PhD students hosted a games night after work this evening. They kindly invited members of staff along to the event too - hurrah! A stack of games was acquired, as was pizza and wine.

At one point ten(!) of us were playing Settlers of Catan. We did so in pairs so that the five experienced players could mentor their novice partners. The newbies were so keen to understand all the rules that we christened them the 'learned learners'. In the end Cedric and Michael (orange) won. Christopher and I (white) were a long way behind when the victory was declared.

I really enjoyed the games night, and I hope that the students will host another one again soon :-)

Exercise today: sit-ups, weights and stretches, walk to work (12,989 steps).
