Weihnachtsmarkt am Kölner dom

We had a leisurely start to the day, but eventually got moving, to catch a tram into the centre of Cologne.  We had to stand most of the way so by the time we arrived, I was ready for a sit down.

After we had explored the market by the cathedral, spending money on frivolities, we went into the cathedral, partly to sit down for a while and escape the crowds - though there were a lot of people inside the cathedral as well.

Then back to the tram, to ride a few stops to Neumarkt - again very crowded.  At Neumarkt is another market, supposedly frequented by angels sprinkling glitter - we didn't see any sign of them.  

Now back in Rodenkirchen, having cooked a small evening meal, enjoying a glass of wine and anticipating an early night, before hitting the Hafenmarkt tomorrow!
