Calne (Saturday 3rd December 2016)
I popped into Calne at dusk to see the Calne Winter Festival And Lantern Parade. This is one of the three stately camels that were about to lead the massively long parade down New Road into the town centre.

The Rolling Stones - I can't quit you baby (recorded 14 December 2015)
Recorded in just over two days last year, Blue & Lonesome (which was delivered to me on this day) is the first studio album by the Stones since 2005, and the first to consist wholly of cover versions. Every track is an old blues, remembered from their founding years in the early sixties, of artists like the Howlin' Wolf and Little Walter, the blues harmonica player (giving Jagger a chance to remind us how good he is on blues harp). This Willie Dixon composition was first recorded by Otis Rush in Chicago in July 1956 and featured Big Walter Horton on harmonica. Although most cover versions are based on a more recent recording he cut for Vanguard in 1967, the Stones go back to the original Cobra single for theirs, and are augmented by Eric Clapton on guitar.
