Goodbye Ecudador. I'll miss you.

It took a while for it to happen, but Ecuador grew on me. Hopefully, I can get back there in the next couple of years. More than anything, I will miss the people. While I was a little sad to be leaving there are things I am looking forward to at home. And then I also wouldn't mind hiding out in Ecuador for a little while longer.

We were up at 3 and in the lobby at 3:10. Our taxies were suppose to arrive at 3:15. They didn't show up. Kate and Lee called and got some friends to take us to the airport. We were at the airport about a 3:45. We through immigration and to the gate with plenty of time to spare. It was a little weird they wouldn't allow water in the sitting area though.

Our plane took off on time at 6:30 and arrived in Miami 20 minutes early at 11:30. Those 20 minutes turned out to be crucial for me, since I booked a connecting flight that departed at 12:55. Not smart.

I ran off the plan and through immigration. I waited what felt like forever for my bag to arrive. Why is it when you are in a hurry, your bag is one of the last off the plane. Once I got my bag, I jogged to customs. Fortunately, there was no wait and I zipped through. From there I sprinted to my ticket counter, which was the furthest one away. I arrived panting and out of breath with 20 minutes until departure. Thanks to some very nice people in front of me that let go ahead of them I got my boarding passes and bag rechecked. Then I took off running again for security. I also managed to get through there in a timely manner. I ran from security to my gate and straight into the line to board.

I was definitely a lucky girl thanks to many people in the Miami airport. My plane arrived home 20 minutes early and by 6 I was eating dinner with my mom. And it was YUMMY.
