Ward Thomas (again)

I enjoyed another fabulous Ward Thomas gig tonight at the Brooklyn Bowl in the 02. It's the fifth time I've seen them, and each time I have been blown away even more by their amazing talent. Their songs are a mixture of fun and the deep and meaningful, and their harmonies are sublime. The main support act tonight were CC Smugglers, a band from Bedford who describe their style as 'good time music inspired by American and world folk, swing, jazz and blues'. Their 45 minute set was stupendous, the most energetic and joyful experience I've enjoyed for ages. Double bass, banjo, harmonica, violin, guitar, bass, keyboards, amazing vocals, humour and feistiness. Look out for the name, and go see them if you can.
