Let the festivities begin!
I woke up this morning and my voice had completely gone. I could only muster a squeak! I've had an on/off sore throat all week and was a little croaky yesterday but it didn't expect it to go all together today. I felt fine in my self so we kept our breakfast date with G&G.
After full English and (not as much as usual) conversation we came back home and set out making the house all Christmassy. This is our first Christmas in our new house. Our own house that we own 100%. It's quite a landmark occasion and one that I want to remember. I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful family who are all so happy and healthy. A roof over my head and plenty of food in the cupboards. I've done a lot of charity work this year and it's really opened my eyes to how lucky I am and never does this seem so poignant than at Christmas.
The children are delighted with the decorations and thankfully Qwerty hasn't attacked the tree yet!
And in other news...the stair gate has become a door gate. A's bedtime antics are proving too much for my patience and he is now held captive in his bedroom until he falls asleep. Which was actually surprising quickly once he realised the error of his ways! (I have reopened it now though so he can get out during the night or in the morning if he needs too)
