Lessons

I learnt two lessons today about this photography lark. Lesson 1: don't leave the battery plugged into the wall charging when you take your camera out. Lesson 2: the tripod is your friend!
After the failed photo shoot earlier this afternoon, I was sat in the garden messing about trying to take photos of bees (there were none) when this juvenile robin obligingly arrived. I have seen him about a few days now, so I nipped inside to get some mealworms and he 'posed' beautifully for me. I hope he'll get the picture that there is food to be had hereabouts, and I'll have more opportnities to take his.
