Frosty

Some of the sunflower seeds out of the bird food escaped being eaten and decided to germinate instead.  I've left them in the hope that the birds would help themselves.  

A hard frost last night, and it hasn't thawed all day.  Beautiful but very chilly!  Took my neighbour for a hospital appointment this afternoon and while he was there his wife and I took Ollie for a lovely walk through the little plantation of trees up by Muddiesdale in Kirkwall. Super to have places like this to walk so close to the centre of town.  Popular with other dog walkers too.  All very friendly, lots of mad chasing and playing with each other, the dogs that is, not the owners!
