Mono Monday - Lost

It was reported late in the day of 5th December 1945 that five U.S. Navy Avenger torpedo-bombers comprising Flight 19 had failed to return to base from a training mission. Also a search and rescue Mariner aircraft that was scrambled to look for Flight 19 failed to return to base. As the news circulated around the world prayers were said for the LOST men of Flight 19 and the Mariner search and rescue aircraft.
