Butterfly.

I saw this little chap sitting on my patio today.  He must've been having a rest as he stayed there for ages.

He is a Meadow Argus Butterfly, in the UK it is known as Albin's Hampstead Eye, apparently it's an accidental import there.

Very hot again today, I went food shopping at 8 a.m. forgetting the shops were opening at 7 a.m.  I like to go early and get it over and done with.

The hospital rang to say I have an appointment with the Vascular surgeon on 23rd December.
