Giving Gifts

Every year for the last ten years or so we have collected money at work during the Christmas season to help out someone in need. It started small, just our department and we would buy a toy or two for the toy drive. My kids always loved going and helping to pick out the toys. Over the years other small departments joined us and we began to have more money so we started to sponser a family from the local womens shelter and this year we raised just over a thousand dollars! I work with an awesome group of people. No matter how bad the world can look sometimes, the good is always there you just have to look for it:). Deb and I went shopping tonight for our family and I know they will have a brighter Christmas this year.
This is the canvas I had made of one of my photos for my Mom for Christmas. It is a lot of her relatives from Ireland and her and her siblings when they were young. I sure hope she likes it.
