Fun in the surf...

Belhaven bay, just to the west of Dunbar is a great natural playground for surfers, kayakers and snorkellers.

Tonight I shunned the usual horrorific image of MAMIWS (middle age man in wet suit) and set off in my pal's new kayak. Once we got out to a decent depth it seemed reasonable to slip over the side for a spot of snorkelling.
The water was sooooooo cold at first, but after a few seconds the wetsuit kicks in, and it's just like a tepid bath barely tolerable.

What fun, and a fish supper finished off a top evening.
