Apparently named after a sparky little character in To Kill A Mockingbird, although this is a boy rather than a tomboy. Him and his mate Dylan are of course driving us completely mad and destroying the furniture and the fabric of the building with the same clinical efficiency as Bruce Willis in one of his more collaterally damaging dirty t-shirt movies.

Predictable first day back at work - all graft and playing catch-up. Don't go there. Did discover a fellow Nikon enthusiast 'though.

Top Gun has gone off to Poland for a week with some friends. Dropped a little surprise on me before he went. Hope he knows what he is doing ...

Psychological survival sometimes depends on having things to look forward to so pleased to review my diary for September today and see that there are some really nice things in prospect - our Wedding Anniversary, the Yoga Mama's Birthday, my Birthday, and the Thames Festival. Fingers crossed for some reasonable weather...
