Barton Brook

This is Barton Brook where it flows under the Lancaster canal at Hollowforth. (Bridge 38) There are three tunnels to alllow the brook to pass through. Years ago the walkway was made of three planks instead of the galvanised steel and there was no handrail. Nanny state regulations have prevailed but it will always be known as 'The Three Planks'
I went for a walk today to suss out the possibility of fishing the brook, 40yrs after i last fished it. Not much has changed except the amount of the hideous weed Himalayan Balsam that is now present.
