The Birds

It's even foggier today than it was yesterday, and it appeared to be over much of South Wales as early afternoon we drove to Bridgend Outlet Centre to do some more Christmas shopping and there was no break in the grey sky.

We are surrounded by trees and there's always birds flying past. They seem to like the trees along the river bank and so often we see many dozens all resting in the branches. When they're spooked they'll all fly off and then come back; that's how I've managed to capture so many.

The youngest son has just told me he's been promoted to Project Manager at his work (Frome, Somerset) on a very substantial pay rise. Only last week, the daughter (lives in Southampton) heard that she's got the job she applied for in Bristol Marina as a Project Manager. Good news on the run up to the new year. All five children are doing very well and it'll be great to have them stay this Christmas.
