La Bastille

After a lazy morning and breakfast-slash-lunch at Bel's, we headed off to climb the Bastille - Bel's favourite place in Grenoble. It was an exhausting but rewarding climb uphill/mountain with stunning views like this at the top. We walked back down the steps rather than path way, and if you ever want to experience your legs feeling the consistency of jelly then I advise you to walk down steps for half an hour and enjoy the aftermath.

We had another wander round the Christmas market (bought some rilettes for Fafa) and went for an early dinner at a place that did a great Camemburger. Went back to Bel's and had a night in watching Catch Me If You Can (what a great film) and chatting. Even with all the fun activities I've been up to this weekend, these evening chat parts have been my favourite. (Lame. Soz. But true.)
