Please slow down!

The expression "Rat Run" may not have the same meaning outside the UK and Ireland.  We live close to Warwick University, on what was once a country lane.  It is now very much a residential road.  It isn't wide enough for 2 cars to pass, least of all a car passing a double-decker bus, or lorry.  There is a near-90 degree bend, just outside a primary school.  Coupled with that, Coventry's cremotorium is only a few hundred metres away.  So what goes through people's minds when they persist on spreading down this road - at up to 50/60 miles per hour!  Seriously!!!
Coventry City Council painted this on the road today to remind these idiots not to be idiots.
