Bang

At about 1 am this morning I was woken by a loud bang. Thinking it was Toddler E I got up and expected to find him at the top of his cot. Instead I find that the power to some of the sockets in the house is off. Strange the lights are still on.

After a little stumbling around, I smell electrical burning overheated plastic coming from my office. This is what I find, the Apple Ipad charger I bought from Amazon a few months ago had blown up taking a surge protected extension lead and the main ring.

Just glad that the surge protector and the circuit breaker tripped and didn't burn the house down.
