Watching

A beautiful day, with a chilly wind.

We set off early this morning to the outdoor market, (I needed new nightwear), quickly sorted that out and then a coffee in the Park Cafe.   Off then to Roquetas, and while Alan attended to some business, I had a wander with camera.

I took some photos of these two Lions standing watch outside one of the Villas.   Whilst continuing on, two German ladies walked by and when I turned round they were taking a closer look to see what I had been doing.   Not sure if she has something in her eye or is taking a picture herself.

I liked the look of the scene.

Then onto Lidl and Carrefour - phew!

This afternoon I have been cleaning dried fruit to make a cake tomorrow. Although the fruit is spin washed, etc. it is surprising how many stalks are left on.   I do so hate eating fruit cake and crunching on the stalks!   This year I am not doing my usual Christmas recipe, instead I am making the easy boiling fruit cake.   It doesn't need to be 'proved' as long and will be OK in time for Christmas.   Baking it tomorrow.
