Safe

We had intended to go to Hillers farm shop today to get some food for the visit of Mudman and Hellabelle but it was such a nice morning that we opted for a walk instead. Shopping can wait till tomorrow.
Arrow Valley lake has a special area for feeding the various water birds and the bank adjacent to this is protected with stakes and netting. A piece is broken, small enough for this Moorhen to get through but not much else. It must appreciate the safety that this provides as it stayed in the gap  and wouldn't come out.
The extra I don't understand this tree is close to a pool frequently used by anglers, the decorations are about 40 feet up and would have needed a ladder, it's 300 yards to the nearest road!
