Checking on the Larder

This tree, and the berries are a larder for the birds in the coming month or so. They ignore the berries until late in the winter then they start to tuck in. By the time Spring comes round all the berries will be gone.

After a night of rain we had a short sunny interlude, then the cloud came over again. By early afternoon it was really dark though we had no more rain. It has been really quite warm today, around 14 degrees when I checked at around lunch time.
