A small door leading nowhere

At the St Nicks night  we were treated to a guided tour of the newly renovated church house, and the process had unearthed this rather nice Georgian panelled door, which had been used as a fill in between roof beams.  It appears so small, one wonders how big people were then - and it's far too small to fit between the beams.
