Whisky tasting
Our third December whisky tasting and every bit as good as the first.
Had an induction to Whitbread today which was slightly odd given that I've been there for three months already but it was interesting. A key fact for me and one that challenged my conscience was that their restaurants get through 10,000 cows a month. When you scale that up for all of the restaurants in the UK that are selling beef dishes, the scale of the operation, i.e. the number of animals that are reared and slaughtered is mind boggling. If it didn't taste do good, I could be converted to being a vegetarian.
