going away

today was my going away/birthday party and my cacti almost drowned. it was a rough start.

torrential storm out of nowhere, hail included. but the party went on. it dried out. and we had fun, watching jurassic park on the big screen. texas weather is unpredictable.

it was great to have the most important friends from so many different parts of my life in one place. i can't believe i'm leaving them, still. there is something gutwrenching about it all.
