No apparent change since the 1890's

A visit to my uncle today who lives in this street in Parsons Green . The facades have remained identical since they were built and gradually all the homeowners have added basements and an attic within the roof . That is all except for him . At nearly 96 and the oldest resident he has never felt the need to do it .
