The final Market...

We had our last market down in Baddeck....it was a busy one.   In the first hour i didn't even stop to look up from wrapping!!!!  One customer even suggested i start giving out numbers, it was that busy!   Good to go out with a nice bang!

I love doing this little market each week, the vendors are so wonderful, and because we hadn't been together since mid October there were lots of happy smiling vendors, hugging etc!   What a great community i live in.

On a more sobering note, the chap who lives at the bottom of our hill, there are only 3 houses on our road, lost his home and all his belongings 2 nights ago in a fire.   Luckily the cat woke him up at 4 am and alerted him, otherwise it would have been an even bigger tragedy!   Fundraising efforts are growing and hopefully he'll be able to recover somewhat from this horrible tragedy.  He didn't have house insurance.....much like many folks in these rural parts!   But to see the outpouring of support is wonderful, i'm sure he's feeling very well cared for!
